Most Common Engineering Job Titles/Profiles

Engineers, as practitioners of technology, are professionals that devise, design, analyze, build and test machinery, advanced systems, structures and gadgets, and materials to meet functional objectives and requirements when considering the limitations imposed by ethics, regulation, security, and price. The word engineer (Latin inventor) comes from the Latin words ingeniare ("to create, generate, contrive, devise") along with Ingenium ("cleverness"). The basic credentials of an engineer on average include a four-year bachelor's degree in an engineering field, or in a few jurisdictions, a master's degree in an engineering discipline plus four to six decades of peer-reviewed professional practice (culminating in a project report or thesis) and passing of technology plank exams.

The job of engineers creates the connection between scientific discoveries and their own following applications to human and business needs and quality of life.
